Mix Design
CIVEX Engineering provides mix design services for various construction materials to ensure performance, durability, and cost efficiency according to project requirements and international standards. Our mix design capabilities include:
Concrete Mix Design (ASTM C192, ACI 211.1)
Establishes the proportions of cement, water,
aggregates, and admixtures to achieve desired
workability, strength, and durability.
Trial batches are prepared and tested for slump,
temperature, air content, Initial/Final setting time and
compressive strength.
Grout Mix Design (ASTM C1107)
Determines proper proportions of cement, water, sand, and admixtures to meet required flow strength, and expansion properties.
Asphalt Mix Design - Marshall Method (ASTM D6926, D6927, D1559)
Develops optimal asphalt content for durable, high-performing pavement using Marshall Stability and Flow tests. Evaluates bulk specific gravity, voids, VMA (voids in mineral aggregate), and VFA (voids filled with asphalt).
Superpave Mix Design (AASHTO M323, ASTM D6373)
Utilizes performance-based grading and volumetric analysis for high-traffic roads and extreme climate conditions. Tests include Gyratory Compaction, Rutting Resistance, and Moisture Sensitivity
All mix designs are supported with comprehensive reports and compliance validation to client specifications and regulatory standards.
